I've been a lot of places in the world that are far from a city and light pollution, but I've never been able to see the Milky Way with my own eyes, unassisted. I could in Wadi Rum and I needed to document it. I waited until most of the camps in the desert had gone dark and everyone in my own camp doused their lights, in order to create this photo.
